Standing Up for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Higher Education

Now is the time to be upstanders against anti-equity pressures that threaten to roll back our progress for Latinx, Black, Asian American & Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, American Indian/Alaska Native, low-income, and undocumented students who have been historically excluded from equal opportunity in higher education. The Campaign for College Opportunity is encouraged by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission’s critical decision to affirm diversity, equity, and inclusion language within their standards. Our students and families are watching and deserve nothing less than courageous action to protect and support our multi-racial democracy and economy.
